Lasered Macula

The use of lasers to close leaky retinal vessels has saved the vision for thousands of patients. This is what happens when the macular is lasered. The macula contains the fovea, which has the highest concentration of cones, and is therefore responsible for the sharpest central, color vision. Lasering the macula destroyed the patient's central vision.
